We have been so pleased with our family’s experience at Communion of Saints. The teachers are caring and deeply committed to their students intellectual and spiritual development. They weave age-appropriate, faith-based teaching into every subject, activity and project. Our daughter’s classmates are kind and silly and funny, and we look forward to watching them grow together. The interaction between the older and younger children is especially heartwarming. Our daughter feels known at Communion of Saints, and that feeling of community and belonging is invaluable. We are perhaps most thankful for the way the school has adapted and pivoted to keep our children safe and healthy during a very challenging time.
Communion of Saints School has positively impacted our family since 2009. We were welcomed into the school and parish community with hopes of a strong education led by nurturing teachers. We liked the small class sizes and faith-based education. Not only have our children received a great education that was challenging and supportive, prepared them for high school, and taught them to serve others, but their lives have also been enriched by the friendships made. My children’s experience is reflective of my own Catholic school experience. COS is smaller and feels like home – our youngest looks forward to seeing his “big friends” who are friends and siblings of his sister’s and brother’s friends. While at COS, as parents you connect with other parents who want the same for their children. We are forever grateful for how our lives have been enhanced by the community at Communion of Saints!
Communion of Saints School has been such a blessing to our family! Our faith teaches us to instill the virtues and the mission of the Catholic church in our children: to be God’s hands and feet in service to our families, our communities, and each other. We wanted a school that would foster in them an enduring love for the faith, as well as a robust intellectual curiosity, within an environment that recognizes and upholds the value and dignity of every person, made in the image and likeness of God. We have confidence in the care and education the school strives to advance and deliver every day, in a manner that is consistent with the faith, values and expectations we have for our children. Our kids have only positive things to say about their experience. They love the environment, their passionate about their work, and they grow more and more in the image of Christ each day. We are so thankful for this school and community!
As an alumni of a local Catholic school myself, I knew that the Catholic school education is something that I wanted for children. From the moment I went on the tour of the newly established preschool, I knew that this would be a great fit for my daughter and my family. That was 5 years ago, and we have been beyond pleased with the education, teachers, staff, and community of the Communion of Saints. Every single person that I have interaction with is kind, friendly and helpful. The small class sizes help my daughter thrive, and I feel she is challenged, while being provided with an academic curriculum that fits her! Another element of the school I love is the diversity, we see families from all walks of life and backgrounds. This is important to our family; and my daughter has had the opportunity to make a variety of friends and various connections. If you are looking for an intimate Christ centered, diverse school, with a strong sense of community, Communion of Saints is the right choice.
Our decision to send our girls to Communion of Saints School was based on their academic reputation and affordability. We stayed because the teachers care and are committed, and they treat our children with respect. A place where learning can be fun. Our girls were and will be well prepared for the next step in their education. A supportive community that feels like a family. A strong sense of camaraderie and tolerance that is fostered among the students. A diverse community. Most importantly, our girls love Communion of Saints School.
When we were looking for schools for our now college sophomore, we wanted a neighborhood school that would prepare our daughter academically and provide a strong moral foundation. Communion of Saints School was our answer in 2007 and continues to provide exactly that and so much more for the last of our children, the youngest of which is now in 4th grade. COS has prepared our children to make a smooth and successful academic transition to high school. But better than the academics, has been our children’s ability find their passions at COS and be embraced for who they are. Whether our children were excited about drama, band, lego robotics, basketball, track, art, writing, they were supported enthusiastically by staff, volunteers, teachers, administration, and students alike. Our children have been able to discover who they are and what is important to them at Communion of Saints and head off to high school confident in their academics, ideas, and abilities.
Our children (1st, 4th, & 6th grade) have been attending Communion of Saints School for seven years and have been extremely pleased with the attention to detail for learning they receive from faculty and staff daily. As long-time parishioners, it is a peace of mind knowing that our children are also receiving weekly all-school Masses, various prayer services, classroom prayer, and “faith family” activities as well. The relationships that have been forged between the teachers and student-body are paramount to their success for their futures. Overall, I would highly recommend sending your child to Communion of Saints Schools because they will experience an excellent ratio for student-to-teacher learning, service projects, and living out their faith through daily actions by all.
As we began to look for good school programs for our son who was entering Kindergartener, we knew we wanted him to have the basics but also learn religion, have sport opportunities, and have fine art exposure. We have found that Communion of Saints was and is the place we were looking for, our son in Kindergarten has not only learned to read, but he is speaking spanish, singing in a class, and playing soccer with his peers on a team. We are so pleased with his development and cannot wait to see what other skills he will learn here.
Our son started at Communion of Saints in the third grade after going to a Catholic school in Medina Ohio. Moving to a new area and starting a new school is a lot of an 8 year old. Moving to a new school made us nervous and we were hopeful that he would fit in and like his teachers. Our son has flourished at the school! He enjoys the small class size and the teachers and the no bullying environment. We love the sense of community COS offers and the peace of mind that our child is happy and receiving an great education.
My parents tell my husband and me that we have the nicest friends. These friends are the parents of our children’s classmates at COS. Many institutions claim to be diverse, but here at COS, we live it; families come to Communion of Saints from a variety of ethnic, economic, and even religious backgrounds to make our Catholic community a remarkable place to be. There is no question that the academics at Communion of Saints are stellar. My son’s graduating class last year boasted multiple Ignatius Scholars, Beaumont Presidential Scholars, and academic merit awards to the elite private schools—these students scored in the very top percentages for the high school placement test. However, it is the relationships between the older and younger students and the family-like feel that makes our school a rare find.
