Communion of Saints Catholic School
Spirituality/Parish Membership

Communion of Saints Catholic School is part of the mission of Communion of Saints Parish.  Communion of Saints Parish was established in 2010 with the merging of four parishes in the community:  Christ the King and Saint Philomena Parishes in East Cleveland and Communion of Saints and Saint Louis Parishes in Cleveland Heights.

Our Parish Mission:

Communion of Saints Parish, the Catholic community of Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland, is united by our faith in Jesus Christ, celebrated through the Eucharist, inspired by the word of God and the example of the saints. We are committed to living the gospel through worship, education, caring for all people, and being a sign of Christ’s presence.

By enrolling your child in our school, you are encouraged to become part of the worshiping community of Communion of Saints Parish through parish membership.  School children whose parents are contributing members of the parish worshiping community receive a reduced tuition rate.  To be considered an active, registered parishioner of Communion of Saints Parish, we strongly encourage weekly attendance at Mass; participation in the various ministries, programs, and volunteer activities of the parish; and weekly financial contributions.

At Communion of Saints Catholic School your child receives an education that is grounded in the Roman Catholic faith.  Spiritual and moral development permeates the entire curriculum at Communion of Saints School.  Our children participate in weekly all-school Masses, various prayer services, classroom prayer, and “faith family” activities (small prayer groups consisting of students from kindergarten through grade 8).  As part of our school’s emphasis on social responsibility, children experience many different kinds of service projects throughout the school year.

Communion of Saints School’s student body is comprised primarily of students from the Roman Catholic faith tradition.  However, many children from other faiths benefit from the fruits of an education that focuses on the total student:  body, mind, and soul.  Students from all faith traditions are welcome and regularly enroll.  If you are not Catholic and would like to speak with one of our non-Catholic school families, please let us know.  We would be happy to make the connection.
