Communion of Saints Catholic School
Who We Are

whoweare

Our Students: Our students come from many different communities including Cleveland Heights, University Heights, South Euclid, Lyndhurst, East Cleveland, Cleveland and Shaker Heights. COS students come together centering themselves around a yearly theme. For the 2018-2019 school year, Mother Teresa inspires us to “Do small things with great love”. All students participate in Faith Family activities, both service and spiritual in nature, throughout the year. Faith Families are small multi-age groups consisting of students in K-7 and lead by the 8th graders.

Our Families: In joining the Communion of Saints School family, you enter a community committed to building a caring, loving, and supportive environment for our children. This is evident in the way our families come together to support our PTO and Athletic Association. It can also be seen when our school families join in the worshiping life of the parish and participate in church-sponsored activities.

Our Learning Environment: Communion of Saints School provides a faith-filled, family-like atmosphere of learning for your child. Prayer is part of our daily activities and Sacramental opportunities are provided on a regular basis.  Your child enters a supportive and nurturing community of learners. Just like a family, the students, faculty, staff, and parents work to build positive relationships.

Our Safety Preparedness:  Our school has a safety plan in place in order to respond to possible emergencies in an effective and expedient manner. The plan is reviewed and updated yearly per the State of Ohio and the Cleveland Heights Police and Fire Departments. In accordance with state regulations, we have regular in-services for faculty and staff on what role they play in the unlikely event an emergency occurs. Our school has regular fire drills, tornado drills, and intruder drills and all staff members are certified in CPR and AED use.
